VCSEL fill light solution for mini camera-Binocular living face recognition camera

The binocular living face recognition camera uses near-infrared fill light technology, which can accurately capture the characteristics of living faces in real time, effectively preventing pictures, screen videos, etc. from being mistaken for real people. It has been widely used in many fields such as driver fatigue driving behavior recognition, ATM face brush withdrawal, high-speed rail / toll gate / airport and other security gate self-service customs clearance, company access control attendance, new retail unmanned store face comparison / self-service payment, etc.

The active fill-in solution uses 3-4 high-power high-angle LEDs (~ 3W / 120 ° or 90 °). This solution has high cost, large number, large volume, large power consumption, low optical power density, etc. Pain points.

Tyson provides a single VCSEL with micro-optical components to achieve optical conversion, matching the angle of view of the camera lens, without wasting light energy, achieving low power consumption and improving product reliability.

The leftmost side of the schematic diagram is an aluminum substrate or a copper substrate. Place the VCSEL laser diode on the aluminum or copper substrate. The metal substrate helps to dissipate heat. The metal substrate is then thermally conductive with the heat sink or the metal shell to maintain good heat conduction; on the VCSEL diode The micro-optical components that can be reflowed through 260 ℃ are encapsulated, and the low-light originals can achieve a uniform distribution of light angle and light intensity, thus achieving a small-sized illumination light source. Xinliang smart single VCSEL + micro-optical element has small volume (1.4mm in height), high efficiency, uniform light intensity distribution, good monochromaticity, saving power consumption and space, and greatly reducing customer costs.

The irradiation distance exceeds 3m, the test distance reaches 1.9m (customer requirements about 1.5m), the camera lens focal length is 4mm, the field of view angle is 70x40 °, the 72x58 ° VCSEL diode is used, and the optical power is 200mW. As can be seen from the figure below, the outline of the face is very clear, and the edges of the face are sharp.
